We feel like we’ve been waiting forever for the original Fear Effect to return, ever since the remaster Fear Effect Reinvented was announced for the Nintendo Switch in 2017.
As you may recall, this version of the action-adventure title will capture “the same spirit and atmosphere” as the original PlayStation game from 2000, but will include “significantly improved visuals”, controls modified and various other exciting extras.
Development team Sushee and publisher Forever Entertainment have now created a trailer – mentioning how the game will “come sooner than you think” to Switch and several other platforms. Here is the story :
“Wi-Ming Lam, the daughter of a Hong Kong triad leader, has been kidnapped. Take on the roles of the mercenary trio: Hana, Glas and Deke, and try to find the missing girl.”
Fear Effect Reinvented will be split into three distinct campaigns, features a modern third-person perspective camera (as seen above), a cover-based combat system, as well as survival horror elements. Plus, there will be items to collect, puzzles to solve, and three difficulty modes to beat.
