Nintendo Switch Online Members Can Now Earn Rewards By Completing Missions https://gateway3dsfr.com/nintendo-switch-online-members-can-now-earn-rewards-by-completing-missions/ Tue, 01 Mar 2022 09:51:32 +0000 https://gateway3dsfr.com/nintendo-switch-online-members-can-now-earn-rewards-by-completing-missions/

My Nintendo is a service that allows members to earn My Nintendo Platinum and Gold points, which can be redeemed for rewards. For Nintendo 3DS and Wii U users, these rewards included discounts on games, free Virtual Console titles, and HOME Menu themes. However, other members like Nintendo Switch players could also earn physical rewards like pins and posters.

With the discontinuation of the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U eShop services, Nintendo appears to be implementing features that encourage Nintendo Switch players to use both the My Nintendo service and Nintendo Switch Online.

Part of this initiative comes through the new implementation of missions and rewards in the Nintendo Switch Online tab of the HOME menu. Some missions include using the Nintendo Switch Online HOME menu tab, saving save data, playing specific games from the NES and SNES catalogs, and playing games that support online play. This can earn the player My Nintendo Platinum Points, which can be used to redeem new profile picture icons, frames, and backgrounds.

So far, only profile pictures related to Super Mario Odyssey and Animal Crossing: New Horizons are available. According to the app, Super Mario Odyssey icons are only available for one week. Animal Crossing icons feature villagers born in March and will be available for the rest of the month. There’s no indication whether the icon sets will repeat, so it’s best to grab what you want while you can. At the time of writing, profile picture items from different games cannot be mixed and matched, meaning you cannot use a Super Mario Odyssey background with an Animal Crossing character. It is also mandatory to purchase at least one character before purchasing background or frame items.

It’s also important to note that these new avatars are only available to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. Regular My Nintendo members cannot access it, even if they have My Nintendo Platinum Points.

All retro

Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack

Lots of retro goodness under one roof.

The Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack not only provides online connectivity, but also access to cloud saves, Nintendo Entertainment System, Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis titles. Subscribers get special offers for retro-themed controllers, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons players can access the Happy Home Paradise DLC for free if they subscribe.

You need to play Sega’s sleekest RPG on Nintendo Switch ASAP https://gateway3dsfr.com/you-need-to-play-segas-sleekest-rpg-on-nintendo-switch-asap/ Sun, 27 Feb 2022 16:00:25 +0000 https://gateway3dsfr.com/you-need-to-play-segas-sleekest-rpg-on-nintendo-switch-asap/

In 1986, game publisher Enix released the RPG dragon quest in collaboration with the developer Chunsoft. Set in a medieval fantasy land of kings and princesses, dragon quest would set the standard for Japanese role-playing games (JRPGs). The following year, the very first Final Fantasy the game has arrived. The subgenre all but exploded in the 90s. Even Sega created its own series – and the fourth game in said series is an iconic finale worth checking out ASAP if you’re a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion subscriber. Pack.

JRPGs offered fascinating new experiences for Japanese gamers in the late 80s. Most games were single-player experiences where you controlled a character, but JRPGs often involved managing a party and balancing the strengths and weaknesses of his members. Personalities clash as often as swords and shields, which created a kind of dramatic storytelling with a lot of depth.

It makes sense that a game called phantom star between science fiction and fantasy.Sega

In 1987, Sega was developing its own JRPG. Released only two days later Final Fantasythe original phantom star hitting Sega’s Master System. It was one of the most technologically advanced games of its time. With a 4-megabit chip and state-of-the-art battery driving up the prices of the game itself, many reviewers thought they had found the future of video games, but were faced with recommending an exceptionally expensive game.

Both series would remain popular, even though Final Fantasy would prove to be the dominant between the two, as often happened in competitions between Nintendo and Sega. In 1993, the phantom star franchise decided to put things on hold on its own terms. Coming to an end after four games, Phantasy Star IV: The End of the Millennium ended the story on a positive note. And it’s available now if you’re a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscriber.

After The Spooky Star III had pushed the game into a sci-fi future, PSIV returned to his more magic-based past. Motavia is a world of science and magic, although that hasn’t helped the planet much. Things are looking bad, with climate change and declining birth rates, but mostly all the monster attacks. Developer Rieko Kodama told a game magazine in 1993 that “the world of The Spooky Star IV appeared for us in a very gradual way.

The fight takes place from this very interesting and unique perspective.Sega

“Take a single candle, for example: we wondered, would that be something you would find in this world? Is there electricity? Do the windows have curtains, drapes, blinds…? Just a lot of little details like that,” Kodama said. “For the characters, we discovered most of their personalities as we drew them. With every detail and background element we added to the characters, the story itself also unfolded. enlarged.

All of these details might not be obvious when protagonist Chaz Ashley wakes up and is informed by fellow bounty hunter Alys Brangwin that he is no longer her trainee, but her partner. PSIV must take place after the events of PSII, which means that new players can be a little lost in all the relationships, but the dialog clears things up. Ask party leader Alys to watch a non-interactive item and she’ll scold you for wasting time when there’s nothing. Meanwhile, Chaz can’t help looking at the books inside the academy that hired them to take down some monsters.

Alys has a commanding presence, which she uses on monsters and on people who want her help. When she confronts the head of the academy about the monsters appearing in the basement (frankly a fair question for any administrator), the old man bends. The monsters’ problem lies in the mystical Valley of Birth, but he didn’t send expeditions to explore because of a mysterious dark magician named Zio, who threatened to turn him to stone. And to prove he wasn’t bluffing, Zio turned a team of college students to stone.

It is really nice.Sega

Scenes cut from PSIV are charming, meant to evoke manga pages more than anything animated. The visuals are of classic 16-bit beauty, from the main characters to the randomly generated enemies they get as they move from town to town, trying to learn more about Zio’s evil power.

PSIV was not a game of flipping the basket of apples. The series had previously featured an experimental entry, PSIIIand while that game had its fans, the team behind the first two games was brought back for the final. PSIV shows the depth of what a Genesis game could do, which is why it’s worth playing today, even if you’ve never played a minute of the series before.

Pokemon Snap Clip is a reminder of the original game’s big advantage over the Switch version https://gateway3dsfr.com/pokemon-snap-clip-is-a-reminder-of-the-original-games-big-advantage-over-the-switch-version/ Sat, 26 Feb 2022 15:19:00 +0000 https://gateway3dsfr.com/pokemon-snap-clip-is-a-reminder-of-the-original-games-big-advantage-over-the-switch-version/

Pokemon Snap players remember one of the original game’s most popular features that didn’t return in New Pokemon Snap on the Switch.

pokemon snap key art

the original Pokemon Snap released in 1999 for the Nintendo 64 in the mid-90s Pokemon craze, earning mostly positive reviews and selling over a million copies. With most Pokemon games revolving around catching and battling Pokemon, the concept of a rails-shooter style game where the goal is to take shots of Pokemon has been a surprising success, with fans clamoring for a sequel for years.

No Pokemon Snap sequel would come until Bandai Namco and Nintendo team up to make New Pokemon Snap for the Nintendo Switch, released in 2021. Like its predecessor, New Pokemon Snap earned mostly positive reviews upon release and sold millions of copies. The game retains the same general concept as the original Pokemon Snapbut with vastly improved graphics, more courses, new characters, and new ways to interact with the game world.

GAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY

RELATED: Pokemon Snap Player Creates Nickelback Photography Parody

In fgeneral, New Pokemon Snap takes everything from the original game and advances it considerably, which is to be expected with a 22-year gap between releases. However, there is one key way some fans may feel New Pokemon Snap lacking compared to the original Pokemon Snap. This downside was highlighted recently in a Reddit clip shared by user RetroVisionist22, reminding fans of one way the original Pokemon Snap is superior to his successor.

The clip in question shows a Pokemon Snap player throwing an apple at a Charmeleon walking through a lava pit. The well-timed throw sends Charmeleon falling into the lava, but the trauma causes him to evolve into a massive Charizard. It’s one of the most memorable moments from the original Pokemon Snapand there are other examples of Pokemon evolving throughout the game. This idea of solving environmental puzzles to evolve Pokemon was pretty much removed entirely from New Pokemon Snapalthough it still has its own puzzles without revolving them around Pokemon evolutions.

Fans were disappointed when they found out that New Pokemon Snap removed Pokemon evolutions, and that’s still a big advantage the original game has over the new one. Fortunately, anyone interested in checking out the original Pokemon Snap on their Nintendo Switch should be able to do so in the relatively near future, as the game has been confirmed for the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack.

The Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack is a more expensive version of the Nintendo Switch Online service, giving players access to some of the most popular Nintendo 64 games ever made. the original Pokemon Snap has been confirmed as part of the lineup, but no specific release date has been announced at the time of this writing.

Pokemon Snap is available for the Nintendo 64.

Alienware Aurora R10 AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12 Core RTX 3080 Gaming PC with 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD

The RTX 3080 is far more powerful than the previous generation’s best video card, the RTX 2080 Ti, and is the best recommended video card for 4K gaming. The RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3090 are the only (very slightly) more powerful cards, but they cost hundreds of dollars more. The RTX 3080 is paired with an AMD Ryzen 9 5900 processor, which is one of the best processors you can get right now, either for gaming or for workstation purposes. It has also been upgraded with liquid cooling. The rig comes ready out of the box with 16GB of DD4-3200MHz RAM and a generously sized 1TB M.2 PCIe NVME SSD. Don’t worry, even the power supply is up to par with a sufficient power of 1000W.

12 month subscription to Nintendo Switch Online

One of the biggest advantages of the Nintendo Switch Online subscription over PS Plus or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is that it’s way cheaper. That said, any additional discount helps. Nintendo Switch Online is required to play games like Super Mario Kart or Splatoon online, download custom maps in Super Mario Maker 2, play free retro SNES games, save your game data to the cloud, and more .

Dell is offering a $40 bonus gift card when you purchase the Logitech MX Master 3. This is one of Logitech’s newest mice, featuring a TrackAnywhere laser sensor, lightning-fast magspeed scrolling, “Flow Control” (connects simultaneously to 3 devices at once), updated USB Type-C charging port and 70-day battery life. This mouse is currently selling for $100 (without a gift card) everywhere else.

Logitech G Pro Wireless Gaming Mouse (Lightest Logitech Wireless Mouse)

Logitech G Pro Wireless Mouse

This is the mouse I currently use for gaming and I highly recommend it. Wireless mice usually weigh more than wired mice because of the battery. The G Pro Wireless bucks that trend by being by far the lightest wireless mouse Logitech sells at just 2.8 ounces. For comparison, the MX Master 3 Wireless weighs 5 ounces, the G503 Wireless weighs 6 ounces, even the popular wired G502 Hero weighs 4.2 ounces without any of its adjustable weights.

If you are thinking of buying one, don’t hesitate!

Get an RTX 3060, RTX 3070, or RTX 3080 video card that comes with a motherboard, SSD, RAM, computer case, or power supply. 2021 LG C1 4K OLED 65″ Smart Gaming TV

65" LG C1 4K OLED TV (2021 model)

If money is no object, OLED TVs are considered the best TVs you can buy right now. Compared to traditional LED LCD TVs, they offer better picture quality, deeper blacks, better contrast ratio, wider color gamut and super fast response times. They excel in both gaming and viewing 4K HDR content. In terms of general usability, they use less power and they are very thin and lean against the wall. Among OLED TVs, the LG C1 is often seen as the standard-bearer; it’s the one TV that all other OLED TVs are compared to. LG OLED TV has several generations of optimizations under its belt and the latest C1 model is future-proof with technology like HDMI 2.1 (4K@120Hz), variable refresh rate, G-SYNC, the very latest LG A9 Gen4 processor and a revamped webOS TV interface.

This is an excellent deal for a 4K OLED gaming monitor that features HDMI 2.1 inputs for 4K@120Hz and VRR. That means it’s a monitor worthy of your RTX 30-series equipped video card (which has HDMI 2.1 outputs) or a PS5 or Xbox Series X console. Unlike an LG OLED TV, it lacks TV-centric features including Dolby Vision support and an integrated Smart TV interface, but it makes up for it with more connectivity options like DisplayPort, USB Type-C, and USB 3.0. You certainly won’t find a 48-inch LG C1 or CX OLED TV at this price, and the LG A1 doesn’t support HDMI 2.1.

Majora’s Mask sneaks onto Nintendo Switch Online on February 25 https://gateway3dsfr.com/majoras-mask-sneaks-onto-nintendo-switch-online-on-february-25/ Fri, 18 Feb 2022 02:05:36 +0000 https://gateway3dsfr.com/majoras-mask-sneaks-onto-nintendo-switch-online-on-february-25/

Nintendo previously announced that the classic Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask would be coming to Nintendo Switch Online, but no specific date was given. Today Nintendo released a new trailer for Majora’s Mask, revealing that the game will be coming to Switch Online on February 25th. The game will be free for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members.

This news comes shortly after Nintendo announced that it would shut down the Wii U and 3DS eShops in 2023. The original Majora’s Mask was part of the classic Wii U digital library, while an enhanced remaster for Majora’s Mask was released on the 3DS in 2015. The decision to shut down the Wii U and 3DS eShops has drawn heavy criticism from gamers and organizations as it will render a plethora of hard-to-find games unpurchasable.

At least Majora’s Mask will still be playable on Switch, but it will just be a simple port of the original N64 version of the game. It won’t be the visually enhanced version of the game that was released on the 3DS, even if it is the version that most players would like to see ported.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask was released almost twenty-two years ago on the Nintendo 64 game console. It revolves around Link trying to stop the moon from crashing into a strange world known as the name of Termina in three days. The game received praise from fans and critics for its dark story and atmospheric setting.
