Starting tomorrow, Nintendo Switch Online subscribers will have the chance to experience a full new trial of the game. This time around, Captain Toad: Treasure Hunter is the one who takes the spotlight! As with the previous tests, this one will last a week, from January 13 at 10:00 a.m. to January 20 at 11:59 p.m. The entire game is available to subscribers during this time, and save data can be transferred to the full version, if players decide to purchase it after the trial ends. The full game is also available with a 30% discount on the eShop until January 16.

For those who don’t know Captain Toad: Treasure Hunter, the game is a spin-off of World of Super Mario 3D. While most of the stages of 3d world Focusing on the platform, the game also featured multiple levels where players took on the role of Captain Toad, a hero with a backpack so heavy that it prevents him from jumping. as players have to rotate each stage to not only search for the hidden power star, but also the paths that Captain Toad has to take to reach it. Treasure tracker Expands the concept in different ways, offering new challenges, as well as boss fights. The game was originally released for Wii U in 2014, before being ported to Switch and 3DS in 2018.
Nintendo Switch Online Play Trials are a great way for gamers to experience titles that might otherwise have flown under the radar! Captain Toad: Treasure Hunter is a great game, with an unusual concept and really strong graphics. Sadly, it’s never been a big seller for Nintendo, falling short of the heights we’ve seen with so many other proprietary games on Switch.
