Update [Sat 15th Oct, 2022 05:45 BST]: It looks like dataminers have discovered a first glimpse of the new hero coming in the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Wave 3 Expansion Pass DLC. It would have been found in the latest software update (version 1.2.0).
original article [Fri 14th Oct, 2022 03:00 BST]: Nintendo has just released the latest software update for Xenoblade Chronicles 3, and alongside that it has also provided a “sneak peek” of what’s to come in terms of Expansion Pass content.
Provided you’ve already shelled out for this DLC, you can expect the third and fourth wave in the near future. Although no date has yet been set, there is a teaser of what’s on the way. In Volume 3, players can expect to meet another new hero and face, and take on tougher challenges.
As for the fourth wave, there will be a new story scenario. Alongside that, we get a glimpse of another character:
“Check out a preview of Wave 3 of the #XenobladeChronicles3 Expansion Pass. You’ll meet a new hero and face new types of Challenge Battles. Going forward, Wave 4 will feature a new original story scenario. “

Release date: before 04/30/2023
This wave of DLC contains the following content:
- Challenge Battle mode against tough enemies
- A new hero character and accompanying quests
- New character outfits
DLC Wave 4
Release date: before 12/31/2023
This wave of DLC contains the following content:
- New original story scenario
