Mario Golf: Super Rush and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 are the highlights of this week’s lineup of new releases from the Nintendo Switch online store.
We’re always excited to play Mario sports spin-offs. Mario tennis aces was a lovely time, and the 3DS version of Mario Golf is another favorite. It bodes well for Mario Golf: Super Rush, which gives the series its first HD release, an expanded character cast, and a promising new speed mode.
If the golf course is a little too quiet, Tony Hawk Professional Skater 1 + 2 should provide the sensations you are looking for. We loved the release on Xbox and PlayStation last year, so much so that we found the bands behind the game’s iconic soundtrack. Hopefully the Nintendo Switch port lives up to the game.
Other new Nintendo Switch versions include Legend of Mana remastered, which gives the classic RPG a modern makeover, and The Lego Builder’s Journey, Light Brick Studio’s thoughtful puzzle adventure.
